Westwood AFSCME Protest

Anyone in Westwood yesterday probably noticed that a massive protest went off late in the afternoon — closing down Wilshire for awhile and resulting in a massive police presence.  I don’t think the LA Times has seen fit to cover it, but Westside Today says it was a  American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) protest.  After the main protest was over, a select group of 20 demonstrators joined hands and formed a sit-down circle in the intersection of Westwood and Wilshire and later got themselves arrested.  Jessica took this great photo of the circle from her office above Wilshire…
